As President of Util-Assist, Andrea leads Util-Assist in delivering innovative solutions that help utilities navigate an increasingly complex and rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Andrea is an accomplished leader and engaging strategist with a passion for modernizing the grid and shaping the future of utilities. She brings a blend of expertise across social sciences, marketing, and customer experience, enabling her to approach challenges with both analytical rigor and a deep understanding of human behavior. Known for her big-picture thinking and strategic insight, Andrea specializes in providing forward-looking business advice grounded in advanced research and behavioral science.

Prior to joining Util-Assist, Andrea held senior leadership roles across the energy and consulting sectors, including Grid Modernization Leader at Capgemini, Director of Customer Strategy & Experience at Hydro One, and Vice President at Innovative Research Group. Through these roles, she has led transformative initiatives related to grid modernization, customer engagement, and data-driven strategy.

Andrea holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Political Science from the University of British Columbia with a focus on behavior and attitude formation.

As Chief Operating Officer, Sabina oversees the critical functions that keep Util-Assist running smoothly.

Sabina is responsible for Util-Assist’s external and internal financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, human resources, and risk management. With a strong focus on operational integrity and financial stewardship, Sabina ensures that our internal processes support sustainable growth while aligning with our strategic goals.

Bringing a wealth of experience in both finance and operations, Sabina is known for her sharp analytical mindset, proactive leadership, and unwavering attention to detail. She plays a key role in fostering a high-performance culture, where accountability, transparency, and employee well-being are top priorities.

Sabina is a Certified Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University (Hon).  Her previous experience includes Alectra Utilities (formerly PowerStream) and Deloitte LLP where she specialized in audit and special engagements for public sector entities such as hydro utilities, municipalities, hospitals, and non-profits.

As Vice President, Business Development, Richard  helps electric, gas, and water utilities across North America address evolving industry challenges and achieve strategic business objectives. 

Richard brings extensive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, and executive relationship management. He supports initiatives across utility modernization, analytics, customer operations, managed services, and organizational transformation, helping utilities navigate change while achieving measurable business outcomes. Working closely with utility leaders, Richard develops trusted partnerships and connects organizations with the expertise, services, and solutions needed to modernize operations, improve customer experiences, and deliver long-term value.

Known for his collaborative leadership style, Richard excels at aligning people, ideas, and resources to move complex initiatives from vision to execution. He is passionate about helping utilities embrace innovation, enhance performance, and prepare for the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of the industry.

As Vice President, Customer Experience, Bob leads Util-Assist’s customer experience, contact center operations, and service delivery functions, helping our clients navigate an evolving customer landscape with confidence.

Bob brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in customer service, customer support operations, and business transformation. He has led large-scale customer service and operations teams, with extensive experience in contact center management, continuous improvement, digital transformation, and customer-focused service delivery. Known for his customer-centric approach and passion for operational excellence, Bob is committed to enhancing the experience Util-Assist delivers to clients and partners.

Prior to joining Util-Assist, Bob served as Vice President, Customer Experience at Toronto Hydro, where he lead Customer Care operations for a regulated utility serving more than 800,000 customers. He also spent over a decade at Finastra in senior leadership roles spanning service delivery, business transformation, and customer operations, driving digital adoption, process improvement, and measurable cost savings across large, multi-site organizations.

Bob holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto.

As Vice President, Marketing and Communications, Laura develops and executes effective strategies for external and internal communications, ensuring that messages are aligned with Util-Assist’s mission to “simplify solutions.”

With more than 15 years of experience at Util-Assist, Laura has played a key role in building the Util-Assist brand and amplifying our voice across the utility industry. She leads the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that promote our services and solutions to utilities across North America. Laura is responsible for overseeing all aspects of brand management, digital marketing, and content creation, ensuring consistent, impactful messaging across every channel. Internally, Laura plays a vital role in uniting teams through clear and engaging communications that reinforce Util-Assist’s mission, vision, and core values.

From spearheading high-profile campaigns to managing industry events and thought leadership programs, she brings passion and precision to every initiative.

As Managing Consultant, Michael contributes to delivering world-class professional services to our customers.

Since joining Util-Assist in 2005, he has become known as an educator, leader and technical guru, helping utilities keep pace with technological advances. He possesses an exhaustive knowledge of AMI systems and is passionate about the potential for smart grid to drive transformation. A strategic thinker, he is currently working closely with utility clients to deploy and integrate leading edge next generation AMI and data analytics solutions that will revolutionize operations and customer service.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Honours) from McMaster University and has a master’s degree in education.

As Executive Director, Growth and Partnerships, Taylor forges meaningful partnerships and drives growth through deep industry insight and hands-on experience.

Taylor leads business development efforts with a focus on building lasting client relationships and expanding Util-Assist’s presence across the utility sector. With nearly two decades of project and operational experience, she brings a unique blend of technical expertise and strategic vision to every opportunity.

Before joining Util-Assist, Taylor held a leadership role at a major AMI/MDM vendor, where she successfully led large-scale, multi-year deployments. In addition to her project management credentials, Taylor is well-versed in contract and SOW development and negotiations, utility analytics, and software quality assurance and testing. Taylor’s well-rounded background and industry knowledge position her to understand client challenges from the inside out, making her a trusted partner in identifying solutions that drive value and efficiency.

Taylor is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds certificates for Global Advanced Project Management from California Institute of Technology, Mastering Project Management from Villanova University, and Engineering Certification from the University of Wisconsin in Electrical Distribution Principles and Applications.
