Util-Assist has won Horizon Utilities Corporation’s RFP for their CIS (Customer Information System) upgrade evaluation project.  Horizon Utilities is one of the largest municipally-owned electricity distribution companies in Ontario, serving 237,000 residential and commercial customers in the cities of Hamilton and St. Catharines.  Util-Assist will provide an independent audit of the current CIS system and determine if an upgrade will meet Horizon Utilities’ existing and future needs.  The analysis will identify expected business benefits of an upgrade, with the aim to augment value to Horizon Utilities’ end-consumers.

Russ Newall, Vice-President, Customer Service and Conservation said, “This win underlines our capability to lead independent system evaluations.  We have worked with Horizon Utilities in the past, and we look forward to continuing our relationship.”

With extensive experience in both the Ontario and North American marketplaces, Util-Assist has evaluated three CIS solutions and managed over ten CIS conversions in the past 24 months alone.
