Util-Assist is pleased and honoured to announce our nomination for three 2020 CanadianSME National Business Awards: Fastest-Growing Business, Best Place to Work, and Business of the Year (100+ employees). Aimed at small and medium enterprises in Canada, CanadianSME spotlights the importance of these businesses to Canada’s economy and celebrates the entrepreneurship that makes them successful. Util-Assist’s nominations recognize our dedication to delivering quality results for our clients, our employees, and our community.
Founded in 2005 as a small consulting firm, Util-Assist now employs nearly 160 people across multiple lines of business, including several employees in the United States and Western Canada. Util-Assist is proud of our success, having doubled in size over the past two years while preserving the corporate culture that has won us multiple business and workplace awards.
Util-Assist is committed to retaining a “small company” feel even as we grow. Put simply, Util-Assist is a fantastic place to work. Our company is a positive workplace that contributes to the growth and welfare of our employees and the well-being of our community. We encourage employees to develop their skills and actively promote from within. Util-Assist offers several employee engagement programs and is a recognized supporter and advocate for our local community. We have played an active role in organizing charitable activities and contributions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Our employees are the foundation of our success. As a recognized leader in the North American utility space, Util-Assist has helped our clients secure innovative solutions in a rapidly modernizing industry. When COVID-19 hit, our team pivoted immediately to remote work, ensuring that client projects continued to move ahead smoothly. By adopting remote collaboration tools and making strategic shifts to our business practices, Util-Assist empowered our workforce to ensure and accelerate client success.
Util-Assist would be honoured to have our efforts recognized by the CanadianSME awards committee. We extend our congratulations to all nominated businesses and look forward to hearing the winners announced at the end of April.
